Travel info& safety
Visas, flight times, weather by month, safety, health and insurance: the facts operations staff and parents need before a team trip to Morocco.

Visas and passports
Citizens of the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, the EU and Australia can enter Morocco visa-free for stays of up to 90 days. Passports must be valid for the whole stay; many airlines and authorities advise at least six months of validity. Rules differ for other nationalities, so we check every passport on your roster during planning.
Money and connectivity
The currency is the Moroccan dirham (MAD). Cards work in hotels and larger shops; cash is useful in markets. Local SIM and eSIM data plans are inexpensive and coverage is good in cities.
Time zone
Morocco uses GMT+1 for most of the year, close to UK and Central European time. During Ramadan the clocks usually move back an hour, and daily rhythms change; we plan meals and sessions around it if your dates overlap.
Safety
Morocco receives millions of international visitors a year and is a common destination for student and sports groups. We reduce everyday risks through planning:
- Private coach transport only, with licensed drivers
- Vetted hotels chosen for location, security and reliable kitchens
- A CampNRuns coordinator with the group throughout
- A written emergency plan naming the nearest clinic or hospital for each venue
- Licensed guides for medina and cultural visits
Check your government's current travel advice before booking, such as the US State Department, UK FCDO or Smartraveller in Australia.
Health and insurance
Travel insurance covering sports activity and medical care is required for every traveller. Drink bottled water, which we provide on training days. Private clinics in major cities offer good care.
